TOOL JOINED BY KIRK HAMMETT! VIDEO AVAILABLE!!!

At their Jan. 14th performance in Honolulu, Hawaii, Tool were joined onstage by Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammet for a bit of face-melting mid-song metal extravagance. In the middle section of Tool’s spiraling epic Lateralus, Hammet lead the band into a partial cover of Metallica‘s Orion, giving fans a glimpse of a crushing musical Voltron before segueing back into Lateralus. Check out some fan-filmed audio of the collaboration below – interestingly, Hawaii was also the location where Hammett joined Tool for a rendition of Sober in the Summer of 2006. There have been rumours that a new Tool album is in the works along with the already announced new album from A Perfect Circle!
