RED BULL STRATOS JUMP
This was pretty much one of the most amazing thing's I have ever seen. For those that missed it, Felix Baumgartner landed safely on Earth after a 38-km jump from the stratosphere in a dramatic, record-breaking feat that may also have marked the world’s first supersonic skydive. He hit 1342 km/h during his free fall, his team confirmed shortly after he landed — breaking the sound barrier and setting a new world record.
Baumgartner came down in the eastern New Mexico desert minutes after jumping from his capsule roughly 38 km, above Earth. He lifted his arms in victory shortly after landing, sending off loud cheers from jubilant onlookers and friends inside the mission’s control centre in Roswell, N.M.
