GUNS AND ROSES - CHINESE DEMOCRACY

Guns N' Roses guitarist Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal survived a potentially fatal car accident on Tuesday after a driver ploughed into his vehicle and forced it into another two.
He miraculously walked away from the pile-up, which totaled his Toyota – and after dealing with the associated paperwork he got straight back to work making music. Bumblefoot, 41, posted a photo of the wreckage via his Twitter account and commented: "Thank you Toyota for the functional seat belt, air bags and crumple zone. You saved my skull." He added: "SUV just ploughed into me at full speed. My car is totalled and two other cars she smashed me into. I'm well enough to tweet, which means I'm not dead yet."

There’s been a lot of great music over the last 30 years, but readers of Brit-mag Kerrang! think that Metallica has had the biggest impact over that span. The magazine polled readers to find the most influential rock band over the three-decade run and the metal icons received the most votes. Drummer Lars Ulrich stated, “It gives me a very warm and fuzzy feeling that Kerrang! magazine have voted Metallica as the band that most changed their lives.” Ulrich also spoke fondly about Iron Maiden, who finished third in the survey, adding, “Iron Maiden have been the blueprint for everything that we have ever wanted to do.” Other acts in the top 10 included Green Day at #2, then Slipknot (#4), My Chemical Romance (#5), Linkin Park (#6), Bullet For My Valentine (#7), Blink-182 (#8), Ozzy Osbourne (#9), and Foo Fighters (#10).
