THURSDAY

I have some new Rock for you on this snowy THursday afternoon in PG! I'll finish off the show with an AWESOME Xmas song from Slipknot lead man, Corey Taylor a little later on, but first, Finger Eleven have returned with a new single! "Living In A Dream" was the first single from the album and it climbed to #1 and stayed there for an impressive 2 straight months! The boys are trying to find that same success again with a new tune called "Whatever Doesn't Kill Me"

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been convicted for being on possession of cannabis – and his criminal record could affect the band’s future touring plans. Rudd, real name Phillip Hugh Norman Witschke Rudzevecuis, was fined $250 and ordered to pay costs of $133 in Tauranga District Court, New Zealand, after police searched his boat in October and found 25g of the illegal substance. The 56-year-old’s lawyer had asked for his client to be discharged because a court conviction could affect his job. Rudd is the only Australian-born member of AC/DC. He joined in 1975 and was fire in 1983 after the death of original singer Bon Scott cause him to enter a spiral of drug addiction. He rejoined in 1994 after the band admitted their sound was lacking spirit without him.

Slipknot and Stone Sour leader Corey Taylor is ready to make good on his recent promise of a naughty holiday song. "X-M@$" arrives December 12th on I-tunes and proceeds will go to England’s Teenage Cancer Trust organization. Taylor says the track was inspired by the bitching a number of his friends were doing about the holidays. He adds, "Personally, I love the holidays, but they seem to bring on severe stress in most people. So I wrote this in honor of crotchety, drunken bastards who don’t know the difference between a yuletide and a toolshed. Plus, I think it’s funny."
