94x has obtained an extremely rare live audience recording of "Communication Breakdown" by LED ZEPPELIN from Nov. 6th 1969 at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, California. Over forty years ago, Zeppelin became the first kings of "Heavy Metal", a new genre of rock which was essentially a merging of heavier 60′s blues-based rock n roll and psychedelic music. Winterland was built in 1928… for the then outrageous cost of one million dollars. Opening on June 29, 1928, the venue was originally called the "New Dreamland Auditorium." In the late 1930′s, the name was switched to Winterland. It originally served as an ice skating rink that was eventually bought by legendary rock promoter Bill Graham who ultimately converted it in 1971 to be exclusively used as a big entertainment venue only. To date, the mighty LED ZEPPELIN has sold over 200 million albums worldwide.
