94XPOSED WEDNESDAY MAY 5TH
Bill Ward – The drummer for Black Sabbath is 62.
BLACK SABBATH - PARANOID TONIC - IF YOU COULD ONLY SEE Tonic's new self-titled album hit stores this week on 429 Records and the band will hit the road later this month in support of the effort. Here is the announcement: It's been almost eight years since the Grammy-nominated "Head on Straight" (they released a Greatest Hits collection early last year), and the band has returned reenergized with a collection of twelve new songs. Produced by Tonic and Nathaniel Kunkel, "Tonic" is redolent of their trademark honest, powerful, melodic rock sound. In addition, Tonic has confirmed a number of tour dates and will be performing throughout 2010 in support of "Tonic." --------------------------BREAK------------------------------ Against Me! will premiere their brand-new video "I Was A Teenage Anarchist" on MySpace Music on May 7th, 2010 at 12am PST. It is the title track from the band's new four-song EP, I Was a Teenage Anarchist, which is currently available on iTunes. The video for "I Was A Teenage Anarchist" was directed by noted film, commercial, and video director Marc Klasfield, who has lensed clips for Jay-Z, Foo Fighters, Nelly, as well as Against Me!'s "Stop!" video. "I Was A Teenage Anarchist" is also included on Against Me!'s upcoming new studio album White Crosses, which will be released by Sire Records on June 8th. Tom Gable did an interview this weekend where he revealed that he is a bit of a movie nerd......... {CLIP} AGAINST ME - I WAS A TEENAGE ANARCHIST DEFTONES - DIAMOND EYES Deftones celebrated the release of their beautifully crushing new studio album Diamond Eyes last night with a special house party show. In addition to a complete run-through of Diamond Eyes (which apparently took place in an empty room, without the crowd), the band also took questions from fans during the live broadcast. You can check out the experience at 94xfm.com! The blackdiamondskye tour has been announced as well, featuring Mastodon, Alice In Chains and Deftones. Hit up the site blackdiamondskye.com for dates & deets. -------------------------BREAK--------------------------- Neil Young is indeed recording a new studio album in Los Angeles with U2/Bob Dylan producer Daniel Lanois, Billboard.com can confirm. The sessions first came to light late last week in a Rolling Stone interview with longtime Young friend and bandmate David Crosby. There's no other information about the project at present, which will be Young's first studio release since 2009's "Fork in the Road." NEIL YOUNG - DOWNTOWN |
