94XPOSED WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 5TH

It's another New Rock Wednesday on 94Xposed! We added 2 brand new songs today! One of the bands has been pretty familiar with the #1 position on the Rock Charts over the last few months. The other band is a beloved Canadian Rock group that just released their first album in 10 years! We'll kick off the show with those Canadians! Big Sugar have returned from a 6 year touring hiatus and 10 year break between albums! Their new effort, titled Revolution Per Minute is in stores now and is already seeing alot of love from the Canadian fan base!

BIG SUGAR - LITTLE BIT A ALRIGHT
VELVET REVOLVER - SLITHER

Slash has almost 20 songs ready for his next album. The guitarist has been working on songs for his second solo album for some time, and now we're hearing he has a wealth of material to choose from for the upcoming recording sessions. On his blog this week, bassist Todd Kerns shares some details on Slash's project. "We have been working on riffs for a while…since we were on the road even," writes Todd. "Those riffs have ballooned to almost 20 songs and growing. We have been hard at it in several writing sessions and are now in the midst of 2 weeks rehearsal. We'll be entering Barefoot Studios with Eric Valentine in a few days to start work on the first few songs. We'll finish up the record before the end of the year."

Aerosmith will mark the 35th anniversary of their 1976 classic, "Rocks," next month with a special reissue. Sony Japan have announced a November 2nd release date for the 35 Anniversary Commemorative Edition of "Rocks." The two-CD set will feature the entire album, plus assorted rarities and live tracks from the era. More details are expected soon. The release comes weeks before Aerosmith play an 8-show run in Japan, starting November 22 in Kanazawa.

AEROSMITH - LAST CHILD
ALIEN ANT FARM - SMOOTH CRIMINAL

Alien Ant Farm have inked a new deal with the Executive Music Group label via Fontana/Universal and will take part in the "Michael Forever Tribute" concert. The original line-up--Dryden Mitchell (lead vocals), Mike Cosgrove (drums), Terry Corso (guitar), Tye Zamora (bass)--will start to work on their fourth album in November and are looking to release it Spring 2012. This week they're traveling to the U.K. to participate in the "Michael Forever Tribute" on October 8 along with  Cee Lo Green, Christina Aquilera, Ne-Yo, Smokey Robinson and others. The band will be performing two Michael Jackson songs, including their smash hit #1 single, a remake of "Smooth Criminal."

Today is New Rock Wednesday on 94Xposed! I started the show off with the first listen of Big Sugars new single Little Bit A Alright and I'll finish off the show with a band that has probably locked down the Rock Album Of The Year Award! The Foo Fighters released "Wasting Light" on April 12th and they immediately scored a Platinum Album! 2 singles have already hit #1 on the Rock charts and this latest single has the cohones it needs to do the same thing! I'm calling it right now! This song will be #1 within a months time!
