Blink-182 makes their long-awaited return at #2 with Neighborhoods, shifting 151,500 copies in its opening frame. This is the trio's first studio album in nearly eight years. Their last studio release, the self-titled 2003 album, opened at #3 with 313,000 sold. So to break that down for you, 8 years ago the number 3 position sold double the albums that a #2 position sells today. Just one more sign that the music industry is in serious decline.

Late rock icon Kurt Cobain's daughter has bought her first home after inheriting a huge chunk of her father's fortune last year. Frances Bean Cobain was handed 37 per cent of the Nirvana star's estate when she turned 18 in August last year, and has decided to use her money wisely by investing in property. The teen, who is estranged from her mother Courtney Love, has bought a $1.8 million home in West Hollywood. The two-storey property sits in a quiet neighbourhood a few minutes away from Sunset Strip, and boasts four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The purchase comes just weeks after Nirvana's iconic Nevermind album marked its 20th anniversary last month. Frances Bean was close to turning two when her father committed suicide in 1994. She has lived with her grandmother, Wendy O'Connor, since a bust-up with Love in 2009.

Jane's Addiction are set to perform on tonight's edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC. This October 6th appearance makes Jane's Addition's first late-night TV performance in eight years. On the show's outdoor stage, the band will perform "Irresistible Force," a Top Ten hit on the alternative rock chart, and then one of their classic songs.
