Randall William "Randy" Rhoads (December 6, 1956 – March 19, 1982) was an American heavy metal guitarist who played with Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot. A devoted student of classical guitar, Rhoads often combined his classical music influences with his own heavy metal style. While on tour with Ozzy Osbourne, he would seek out classical guitar tutors for lessons. Despite his relatively short career, Rhoads is a major influence on neo-classical metal players that emerged in the 1980s such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Angelo Batio, and Jason Becker. He is cited as an influence by many contemporary heavy metal guitarists, including longtime Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde. He is included in several 'Greatest Guitarist' lists and will always be remembered in his music!
OZZY OSBOURNE - CRAZY TRAIN DISTURBED - THE ANIMAL
Disturbed continue to dig deeper into their "Asylum" album and crank out the hits. "Animal" is the latest single, and singer David Draiman tells us, "That song is a fun one for me. I really enjoy the song from just even singing it." The vocalist says he still recalls guitarist Dan Donegan and drummer Mike Wengren sending him the song and he says he loved the "wonderful creepiness" of the track and trying to offer up some unorthodox melody choices for the song that would really make the track stand out. As for the track itself, Draiman says, "Obviously the song is about a werewolf that takes form in the moonlight. It’s a person who’s trying to describe the animal well up inside of him and wanting to unleash it and kind of enjoying the fact that it’s being unleashed."

Faith No More apparently brought their reunion and their career to and end in Chile last night – and their final song was a cover of Manhattan’s Kiss and Say Goodbye. They’ve been playing the track for the last series of shows, which they’ve said are their last, in the same way they opened their comeback sets in 2009 with Peaches and Cream’s Reunited. Frontman Mike Patton adjusted the lyrics slightly to say: "This has been the saddest day of my life – I called you guys here today for a bit of bad news. I won’t be able to see you any more, because of our obligations and the ties you all have. Since this is our last day together I want to hold you just one more time." And he did: at the end of the song he threw himself into the crowd and surfed for about a minute, before climbing back onto the stage and walking off, without looking back.
