VAN HALEN - HOT FOR TEACHER Iron Maiden are filming two upcoming shows for a DVD. The dates are in Buenos Aires (Argentina) on April 8 and Santiago (Chile) two days later. Blabbermouth report that bassist Steve Harris has said: “We have amazing supporters in Chile and Argentina and we want to show more of the audiences from those parts of the world. We already filmed some footage there for the Flight 666 movie, but only one song per country was used. We will now have a chance to show much more of the crowds in Chile and Argentina”. ------------------------BREAK-------------------------- Sum 41 are enjoying an upswing with their latest album, “Screaming Bloody Murder,” and some are pointing to the lyrical content that many feel comes from singer Deryck Whibley’s high-profile split with ex-wife Avril Lavigne as adding fuel to their musical fire. The singer tells Kerrang!, “It was a very painful experience. I don’t really want to get into it, but what I’ll say about it is that, at the end of the day, it was good. Tough things are good to go through because they make you who you are. What I realized from going through that experience is that people travel along at a certain level of happiness. Then you go down to a low that you never knew existed, but when you come back up, your happiness levels go higher than before.” Whibley says he’s happier than ever, and while the divorce was tough, it’s not tough anymore. In fact, Whibley worked with Lavigne on her new album even as divorce proceedings were going on.
