Is Corey Taylor more intelligent then we give him credit for? he had an interesting take on the seven deadly sins, and in an interview this week, Taylor said his first book discusses the idea that the seven deadly sins aren't sins at all – they're what make us human. Gluttony, greed, lust, rage, envy, sloth and pride are parts of our personalities as people, he argues, and if you want to be a good person you have to learn to deal with them. "They're the kind of things that connect us all – we're all horny, hungry, angry mothers, basically. But that doesn't make them sins. Taylor tells ExploreMusic. "They may lead to sin, but the urge itself isn't sin. We're all instinctive animals at the end of the day. You can live with these hungers and still be a good person.

Nevada police have revealed full details of Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil’s drink-drive arrest in June. Neil was stopped while travelling at 60mph in a 45mph area near Las Vegas, and was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. Tests later showed he was nearly three times over the limit. The singer was responsible for the death of Hanoi Rocks drummer Razzle Dingley in 1984 when he lost control of a car while drunk. He also seriously injured two people in another vehicle. He recently claimed he hadn’t had a drink in three years, saying: “There’s a point in your life where you stop and that’s what happened to me. There’s other things in life than just drugs and alcohol.” The new police report says Neil was stopped around 11pm on June 27 for speeding and weaving between lanes. He continued driving his Lamborghini Gallardo for around half a mile before stopping.

On drums, another young Northerner named John Bonham, who seemed to hit the skins harder than anyone had ever seen. On bass was a familiar studio face, John Paul Jones. And playing guitar was another well-known studio musician who had previously played on Proby's sessions but had broken out in recent years with The Yardbirds. His name, of course, was Jimmy Page.
