DAVE MATTHEWS - CRASH INTO ME
SHINEDOWN - BULLY

Shinedown vocalist Brent Smith says that their new record 'Amaryllis' is the embodiment of what the band is all about. Earlier this week, Shinedown dropped the first single from one of the most anticipated albums of 2012. While 'Bully' may not sound like the music you've come to expect from the band, vocalist Brent Smith told FMQB that 'Amaryllis' epitomizes the band: "I've always seen Shinedown as its own entity – this living thing that's been growing and developing and evolving over the past 10 years. During the recording, the vision of what Shinedown is and where it's going became completely clear. 'Amaryllis' is the manifestation of that vision, the centerpiece of what Shinedown is."

Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer married longtime girlfriend, actress Evis Xheneti in Paris on Jan. 2. The wedding comes about eight months after Shaffer popped the question atop the Eiffel Tower. The ceremony was intimate at a 200 year old church on the Seine river. The wedding party included Korn's manager of twenty years Jeff Kwatinetz and tour manager Jens Geiger. The couple will take a honeymoon in a few months. Evis has had a few small roles in big shows like 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'Entourage' and 'Medium.' Korn released 'The Path of Totality' last month via Roadrunner Records. The band will tour overseas, hitting locations in France, Germany, Ireland and more starting in March.

KORN - WORD UP
BLACK SABBATH - PARANOID

While the world may have damn near exploded with joy upon hearing the news that the architects of heavy metal themselves Black Sabbath are reuniting to record their first studio album with original frontman Ozzy Osbourne since 1978, a sad update arrives to darken the mood: guitarist Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with lymphoma. A statement just released on the band’s Facebook page reads: “With the news that Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma, his bandmates would like everyone to send positive vibes to the guitarist at this time. Iommi is currently working with his doctors to establish the best treatment plan–the “IRON MAN” of Rock & Roll remains upbeat and determined to make a full and successful recovery.” According to the post the band will continue work on the new album while Iommi goes through his medical procedures.
