Bayfest’s famous stage underwent a massive makeover to accommodate Canadian music legends RUSH and the largest stage show ever at Sarnia’s summer music festival. Organisers were excited to hear that Rush would be performing at their annual festival, but when they received the specs for the stage that Rush had put together for the show, they realised that the arena just wasnt able to handle the stage. So they have come up with over $30,000 to upgrade the roof and lighting structures to ensure that fans get to see the full effect of Canada's most Legendary band!

Josh Homme says Queens Of The Stone Age will begin work on a new album later this year. He tells Rolling Stone, "I have ideas already absolutely. It's all about wiggling hips. The music is gonna go further down that strange and lovely path of [2007's] Era Vulgaris." Homme has been keeping busy with Them Crooked Vulutres, and as previously reported, will re-launch his label imprint Rekords Rekords via Dangerbird and release a 10th anniversary edition of QOTSA's Rated R.

Jimi Hendrix will be inducted into the Fender Hall Of Fame on 13 August 2010 at the Tempe Center Of The Arts in Tempe, Arizona. This will be the fourth such event of its kind. The Fender Hall Of Fame was created in 2007 as an annual celebration of Fender founders, artists, leaders, innovators and other historically significant figures key to company's legacy. Special guests at the 2010 induction ceremony will include Janie Hendrix, Eddie Kramer, Geoff Fullerton, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Chris Layton. In a statement, Fender noted that "James Marshall 'Jimi' Hendrix (1942-1970) is universally hailed as the greatest electric guitarist in the history of rock and one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. In the annals of rock history - and especially in Fender history - he towers above all others as an artist whose life and work were as phenomenal as the era which he helped to define and personify.
