94XPOSED TUESDAY AUGUST 9TH
1990 – The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea and Chad Smith were ordered by a court to apologize to a 20-year-old college student who complained that the pair spanked her. The judge also requested that the musicians contribute $5000.000 a piece to a rape crisis center.
RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS - THE ADVENTURES OF RAIN DANCE MAGGIE Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill is under doctor's orders to rest his voice for an entire month. The rocker sparked fears for his health after walking offstage midway through the band's show in Dallas, Texas last week after complaining about heat and voice problems. The band then scrapped the rest of its U.S. tour dates to allow Followill time to recover. Somehow I think "Rest Your Voice" is code for "Rest Your Liver". Stand by for the announcement that Caleb Followill has entered a rehab! I have a feeling its just around the corner. -----------------------------BREAK--------------------------------- Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton has just undergone what’s described as a ‘radical medical procedure’. This was after his tongue-based cancer returned and extended to his voice box. Hamilton agreed to undergo this laser treatment, even though there was a risk of permanent damage. Fortunately, the procedure appears to have been successful. Tom hopes to rejoin Aerosmith in the coming months to work on their new album!
AEROSMITH - EAT THE RICH Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister is one of a dozen artists who are honoring the 20th anniversary of Metallica’s “Black Album” with a cover of one of the record’s songs. The tribute to Metallica’s 1991 self-titled album will be available in the September issue of Germany’s Metal Hammer magazine, according to Bravewords.com. Lemmy’s contribution is a version of “Enter Sandman,” which the rock titan recorded with members of Zebrahead in 1998. The other 11 recordings, featuring DevilDriver, Sodom and others, are previously unreleased. Metallica: A Tribute to The Black Album will be available with Metal Hammer starting August 24. -------------------------BREAK--------------------------- Another BEAUTIFUL day here in the PG area! And don't we deserve it! It was a tough first month and a half of the summer but it looks like we are finally going to be able to enjoy some warm weather! I just want to make sure that Mother Nature hears of our appreciation! I've picked out the most summery sounding song I can think of to end off 94Xposed today! SUBLIME - SANTERIA |
