Kopek are ready to take the next step to conquering the States. The band will follow up their recent hit, “Cocaine Chest Pains,” with the track “Love Is Dead.” The song heads to radio in early June and is a nod to such influences as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Frank Sinatra, Marvin Gaye, Jim Morrison, and Robert Johnson. Keep your ears open for Kopek’s “Love Is Dead,” coming soon, and look for them on the road as their current trek continues tonight and Evansville and runs through the end of the month.

AC/DC - TNT
Unlike AEROSMITH's Steven Tyler, you won't find members of AC/DC on the panel of a singing contest: They're not exactly fans of the reality show route to success. "There's only one way to do it," said lead vocalist Brian Johnson. "You get on the stage, you learn your trade and you get out and play in front of people. You serve your apprenticeship just like anybody else." Johnson added: "The shortcut ways leads to tears at the end of the day. It's all hype. And it's not fair on the kids to make them famous one week and then nobodies the next. It's just not right." Agreed! Reality music shows are a cash grab for the networks and for the dinosaurs that are still running the major record labels. American Idol is not making stars, they are making flash in the pan, one hit wonder artists, and nothing more.
