Radiohead’s Thom Yorke played a 12-song solo set at the Big Chill festival at Eastnor in England this weekend (Friday August 6). Yorke introduced the song “Give Up the Ghost” as “a new Radiohead song.” Yorke switched between piano and guitar during his solo set playing Radiohead songs and tracks from his 2006 solo album, The Eraser. No word on a release date for a new Radiohead album but it is expected before the end of 2010.

A board of valuable sketches from a 19th century artists have been discovered in the covers of Led Zeppelin albums. The artwork, by Sir John Everett Millais, belong the Rick Hobbs, who worked for Jimmy Page for 40 years. Said to be the last man to see John Bonham alive, Hobbs died earlier this year at the age of 81. The sketches were discovered when going through his record collection. They’re expected to fetch £4,000 at an auction on Saturday, August 14.

Nikki Sixx will make an appearance on the season premiere of LA Ink with Kat Von D on August 11th.
