94XPOSED WEDNESDAY MAY 11TH

1981, Jamaican singer-songwriter Bob Marley died of lung cancer and a brain tumor aged 36. Had the 1981 single “No Woman No Cry,” plus over ten other U.K. Top 40 singles. In 1990, the 6th February was proclaimed a national holiday in Jamaica to commemorate his birth. The compilation album, Legend, released in 1984, is the best-selling reggae album ever with sales of more than 20 million copies. Time magazine chose Bob Marley & The Wailers' Exodus as the greatest album of the 20th century. Marley's music was heavily influenced by the social issues of his homeland, and he is considered to have given voice to the specific political and cultural nexus of Jamaica. Bob may be gone but his message of "One Love" lives on through his music, his children, and his massive fan base around the world. RIP Bob Marley - February 6 1945 - May 11 1981.

AEROSMITH - LAST CHILD

It seems like there’s never a dull moment in Aerosmith’s world. Guitarist Brad Whitford is gearing up for the Experience Hendrix tour, which launches May 20 in Las Vegas. Steven Tyler’s got a book to promote (“Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?), and he says Aerosmith will play the American Idol finale in two weeks. A few days before the Idol finale, Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer returns to The Simpsons for the Season 22 finale. The episode, entitled “The Ned-Liest Catch,” will air on May 22nd at 5 PM. Here’s the storyline: “Feeling guilty for getting Mrs. Krabappel suspended after one of his school pranks, Bart helps her escape detention, and Ned Flanders winds up saving her life in the process. When Edna and Ned start dating, he is surprised to learn she’s been with many of Springfield’s men, including Homer and Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer (guest-voicing as himself).”

A Perfect Circle have now agreed to work on a new album after reuniting on a trial basis with the intention of just playing live shows. Guitarist Billy Howerdel says: "We're going to have at least one new song on the tour. It's very close to being done, and from there, things could come together. Once we're on the road and start hashing through our ideas, they could quickly become a song and make it onto the stage. "So there's an album in the works, but not for this summer. The idea was to get the juices flowing a bit and get back into A Perfect Circle mode, and go from there. But we do intend to record new material. This is good news for PC fans as they have been waiting for a new album since 2004's release of Emotive!

Now, EMI have confirmed that From Fear to Eternity: The Best of 1990-2010 will be available starting June 6. The two-CD set includes material all the way up through 2010's The Final Frontier album, and follows another Maiden collection, 2008's Somewhere Back in Time: The Best of 1980-89. In addition to songs plucked from Brave New World and A Matter of Life and Death, the collection will feature some live recordings.

Rocker Bryan Adams has become a father for the first time at the age of 51, People magazine reported on Thursday. The "Summer of '69" musician's personal assistant gave birth to a daughter, Mirabella Bunny, on April 22, People said on its Web site. Adams' spokeswoman did not respond to messages seeking confirmation. The mother, Alicia Grimaldi, is a long-time employee who helps run Adams' charitable efforts. She and the baby were both "well and happy," Adams was quoted as saying in the report. Adams maintains strict secrecy about his private life, and the nature of his personal relationship with Grimaldi has not been disclosed. I don't think it needs to be disclosed though....... I would say they are sleeping together!
