It's A New Rock Wednesday on 94X! And today I get to build a little more excitement for the Jagermesiter Music Tour which is in town March 1st! Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Bleeker Ridge AND My Darkest Days! The boys from My Darkest Days exploded onto the music scene with that infectious rock track "Porn Star Dancing" and now they are ready to extend their run of success! The second single from their self titled debut album has been released today and while I don't personally think that this one will be quite as successful as Porn Star Dancing, it still has a pretty kickass feel to it! For the first time on Prince George radio airwaves, here is The New My Darkest Days Song, Move Your Body only on 94X!!!!
MY DARKEST DAYS - MOVE YOUR BODY
REV THEORY - JUSTICE
Rev Theory are currently hitting with "Justice" and while it’s new to listeners, the song actually has a lengthy history with the band. Guitarist Julien Jorgensen tells us, "We toured with a band called Mercy Fall we became really good friends with and they were on Atlantic Records at the time and we were on the road with them…and working together and writing songs and just vibing on the road and basically that song had come out. Basically they used the song to demo it and it was gonna be their song and the band broke up." {CLIP} "Justice" is the title track from the band’s upcoming album, due out February 15th.
Green Day have released a trailer for the band's upcoming live CD/DVD, Awesome As F**k. A specific release date has yet to be announced, though it is expected to arrive some time in mid-March. The trailer merely says "Coming This March." You can watch the trailer :

NINE INCH NAILS - EVERYDAY IS EXACTLY THE SAME
Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has been tapped to compose the music for David Fincher's English language adaptation of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." The upcoming film is based on Stieg Larsson's best-selling book of the same name. The new gig comes on the heels of Reznor's and longtime songwriting partner Atticus Ross' Golden Globe nomination for scoring "The Social Network." The duo will reunite with Fincher for "Dragon Tattoo." During an interview with the New York Times' TimeTalks series, Reznor revealed that the "Dragon Tattoo" score would rely more on string arrangements than the electronic-leaning music of "Social Network."
