THEORY OF A DEADMAN - LOW LIFE
So Metallica are choosing Yankee Stadium as the home for the next “Big 4” performance in the U.S. One song from the band’s catalog has been played thousands of times over the last decade, and this time will get another run through live. Singer James Hetfield says in a new video at the Yankees team homepage that they will definitely break out “Enter Sandman,” the long-running walk-in theme for closer Mariano Rivera. In the clip, Hetfield states, “Hold on, Mo. Hey, Yankee fans. This is James here from Metallica, and we know that ‘Enter Sandman’ over the last decade has been played here in the Bronx because of #42. Now is your chance to hear it live, here, in your house.” The performance is scheduled for September 14th.
For a group that was never supposed to be around this long, Sixx: A.M. are doing quite well. The band’s latest effort, “This Is Gonna Hurt,” just debuted at #10 on the album chart and the continued success is not lost on the band members. Singer James Michael says of the new album, “Writing and producing this record has been one of the greatest, yet challenging experiences of my life." Guitarist DJ Ashba adds, “Digging into this subject matter and pushing ourselves musically has been the most rewarding adventure so far. This is music that when we’re long gone, people will still be learning from it.” The disc has already generated the top five single “Lies Of The Beautiful People.”
SIXX AM - LIES OF THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE Billy Duffy – The Cult guitarist is 50. -----------------------BREAK---------------------- Volbeat are sick and tired of music purists wagging their finger at them. They refuse to be confined to the pigeonhole of a specific genre but throw off all fetters intended to keep them on the ground. In the past four years, this thoroughly honest attitude has made the four musicians from Denmark one of the hottest acts on the rock scene. Sold-out venues everywhere, celebrated festival appearances at the Rock am Ring festival, during the Sonisphere Festival Tour, and opening for Metallica and AC/DC – and now they’re about to release their latest album “Beyond Hell/Above Heaven”. September 13th the album hits store shelves.....Here is the first single!!! VOLBEAT - FALLEN |
