DIRE STRAITS - SULTANS OF SWING Rocker Courtney Love tells You Magazine that her daughter Frances Bean Cobain may not live to see her 23rd birthday! "She lives in a mansion by herself," said Love, widow of Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain. "A 17-year-old getting $40,000 a month is outrageous to me, that’s on top of them paying for the mansion. She lives with her nanny and Grandma Wendy and Kim, Kurt’s mother and sister, live two doors down, but there’s no drug testing going on. It’s a lot of money for a normal person. It’s enough money to kill her, if she is doing drugs, enough money to be gone by the time she’s 22." Love, however, changed her tune about her daughter during the interview, adding that Frances does not want the limelight and was offered the lead roles in Twilight and Alice In Wonderland. "But she wants to go to college; she’s very good at graphic novels," said Love. "Frances will be fine, it’ll be fine."
------------------BREAK----------------------- Evans Blue are back, and though it’s with a different singer their latest album has a very personal feel for the band. The group have self-titled the disc, and singer Dan Chandler says, "There were definitely changes in the band, and I think Evans Blue self-titled is almost like a beginning again. They didn’t have a self-titled album before me so I think it’s appropriate." Chandler says there was an instant connection with the band, though he jokes that he’s still auditioning for the group. Dan tells the story of his enterance into the Canadian band and his first trip to the frozen north! Evans Blue are currently in the midst of touring in support of the new album, and the disc is now in stores.
EVAN'S BLUE - ERASE MY SCARS Rhythm Magazine has compiled a list of the 20 greatest drummers of the last 25 years. They created it by asking their readers to vote for their favourite tub thumpers. Slipknot's Joey Jordison kicked all of his competition's asses, pulling in 37 per cent of the votes, with over 38,000 people saying he was the best. 5.
