Kings of Leon will release their documentary film on DVD, Blu Ray, and via iTunes on November 1. The DVD and Blu Ray editions of Talihina Sky: The Story of Kings of Leon will come with 45 minutes of bonus features including additional scenes not included in the film, two commentaries from the band and the filmmakers, and home-movie footage. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 21 and was acquired by Showtime, premiering on the network on August 21. The documentary reveals the southern upbringing of the brothers (and cousin) and their journey from bible-belt poverty to rock stardom.

Move Over Trent Reznor! Another well known and respected actor is trying his hand at the movies. Linkin Park‘s Mike Shinoda has signed on to score ‘The Raid,’ the high-flying action flick gaining buzz around stars martial arts master Iko Uwais and Joe Taslim. The movie made its North American premiere this week at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival’s “Midnight Madness” screening, but obviously isn’t quite in the can — Shinoda has yet to complete the soundtrack. “The intense visuals and compelling story of ‘The Raid’ have made this an exciting first venture into scoring for me,’ says Shinoda, who is scoring a feature-length film for the first time. “I’m thrilled for Linkin Park fans to see — and hear — this film.”

BUSH - SOUND OF WINTER

 

The reunited Bush are back with a new album, "The Sea Of Memories," due September 13. Bush have just released the video for the disc's first single, "The Sound Of Winter." The Gavin Rossdale-led band launch a North American tour next week, kicking off in Billings, Montana on the day of the album's release. Most of the dates on the trek will include Chevelle and Filter as openers. In addition to the tour, Bush will be seen on US TV in the coming weeks: on September 21, Rossdale will appear on "Chelsea Lately" and, on September 22, Bush will perform on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
