FRIDAY NOVEMBER 12TH
To start off 94XPOSED, we have to give a Happy Birthday to a legend. It was this day, 65 years ago, that Neil Young was born in the Toronto General Hospital.
NEIL YOUNG- ROCKIN' IN THE FREE WORLD Rush are still rocking....In a new interview with Planet Rock, Getty Lee talked about Rush's plans for next year, including a possible European tour.
"We're in discussions right now trying to firm up some dates," said Geddy. "I think we're gonna try to come over here in the late spring, if all goes well. "We're supposed to be going right back into the studio and finish the work that we started before the last tour, but there's something about the way the 'Time Machine Tour' came together that we'd like as many Rush fans as possible to experience it. So I think we're gonna try to bring that tour to Europe."
Kings of Leon have commented on their turning down of a Glee appearance. The hit fox show had asked them a spot back in August, but Kings simply said no. There were many folks a little pissed off about this, and created quite the stir and backlash.
According to the website alternativeaddiction: “Since the decision was made, guitarist Matthew Followill admitted that the band had never seen the show when they turned it down, telling Spinner, "Everyone took it so seriously when we said no to Glee because it's everyone's favourite show. But we just had never really seen the show, we didn't know what it's about." He added that the band needed to protect their image and be careful of where they would appear. "You just have to balance out the stuff that sounds cool and the stuff that doesn't," noting "You're not gonna say yes to everything. So there's a balance between the cool stuff and the not-cool stuff, and hopefully that's not taken the wrong way."
KINGS OF LEON- RADIOACTIVE JANES ADDICTION- BEEN CAUGHT STEALING Well according to Gibson:
He said, "Jane's is going good. We're actually writing quite a bit and getting ready to go into the studio in December and start recording tracks. We hope to have something out next year; early next year." The album will be than band's first studio album since Strays in 2003. The current lineup of Jane's Addiction features founding members Navarro, Perry Farrell and Stephen Perkins...
And finally to wrap up 94XPOSED, according to Hennemusic:
Last week, Guns N Roses guitarist D.J. Ashba was the first in the group's inner circle to publicly mention anything about the status of a new project by the band. At the release party of the new video game, "Call Of Duty: Black Ops," in Santa Monica on November 4, Asha commented on the band's plans, saying, "We're talking about that right now. We've been throwing around a bunch of ideas and it should be good, man. We've got a lot of good stuff on the plate coming out. It won't take as long, I promise." On Wednesday, guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal tried to calm the rising tide of fan interest when answering questions on his Facebook page. "We've yet to get in a room and write as a band," notes Bumblefoot. "[I] know D.J. mentioned something about a new album, but don't want y'all expecting anything soon."
