ROLLING STONES - GIMME SHELTER Chevelle’s latest single, ‘Face to the Floor,’ has the Chicago guys spitting out hard rock in true Chevelle fashion: guitars reeling onward, choruses swelling and Pete Loefflers’ emotional, yearning vocals emoting over a sea of sturdy rhythms. Subject-wise, ‘Face to the Floor’ takes on a deeper meaning than many rock songs of today. Drummer Sam Loeffler says the song has to do with the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme and people’s frustrations with the American economy, in general, right now. “In talking to Pete [Loeffler, singer], he says, specifically, the song is about greed,” Sam told Loudwire. “It’s something we’re dealing with in our culture right now. Actually, that song is about Madoff, and he worte the lyrics when he was watching a documentary on the Madoff Ponzi scheme and how it worked and how many people he stole from and how long he stole.” We expect a new single from the band in the next couple of months. --------------------------BREAK------------------------ Radiohead will release two new songs called "The Daily Mail" and "Staircase" on December 19. Both tracks are unreleased cuts from The King Of Limbs album sessions, and they were recorded as part of the band’s in-studio performance The King of Limbs: Live From The Basement, which was filmed earlier this year. The King of Limbs: Live From the Basement will be released digitally through iTunes on December 19, and it will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray in the U.S. on January 31. Meanwhile, fans can stream 30-second snippets of the new tracks at Amazon.co.uk.
RADIOHEAD - KARMA POLICE The Parlor Mob only just released their sophomore album, Dogs, on October 11, but iTunes "Rewind" has named it 2011’s Rock Album Of The Year. "Rewind" is iTunes editorial selections for the best music of 2011 and puts The Parlor Mob in the same company as Bon Iver, Adele and Foo Fighters. The New Jersey band has a handful of tour dates remaining this year, running through December 17 in Lansing, MI. -----------------------BREAK------------------------- Bruce Kulick – The KISS guitarist is 58.
