94XPOSED FRIDAY JANUARY 13TH

Birthdays – January 14th - Dave Grohl – The Foo Fighters frontman and ex-drummer of Nirvana is 43. He’s also performed with Them Crooked Vultures, Scream, and Probot.

FOO FIGHTERS - EVERLONG
I MOTHER EARTH - ANOTHER SUNDAY

If you head over to imotherearth.ca right now you will see a clock counting down from about 11 days. Now what does this mean? The band broke up back in 2003 after playing their farewell show in Barrie Ontario. Since then the former members have started side projects and done some solo albums, none of which have been overly successful. The countdown clock on their website will reach 0 January 24th and my guess is we have a full reunion of the Brian Byrne lineup! As soon as I get more details on the new album and an assumed tour I'll let you know whats going on!

Tony Iommi says he can't wait to start his fightback against cancer. And even though lymphoma is the worst Christmas present he's ever had, he's glad to keep working on the Black Sabbath reunion album. The band confirmed on Monday the guitarist was suffering from the disease which affects the immune system. It's thought he was diagnosed early and although he'll have to endure extreme treatment, his chances of recovery are good. "I just wanted to say how overwhelmed I am with all your messages of support. Thank you so much," Iommi says. "It's not what I wanted for Christmas – that's for sure – but now I can't wait for the test results to come in and get going with the treatment."

BLACK SABBATH - SWEET LEAF
DIO - HOLY DIVER

Some of the biggest names in hard rock and metal are reportedly signed on to appear on the forthcoming tribute album to Ronnie James Dio. Blabbermouth.net reports that the project will include Judas Priest's Rob Halford, Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister, Deep Purple's Ian Gillan, Alice Cooper, Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath), Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Chris Jericho (Fozzy) and Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters). "I'm letting them pick what songs they wanna do in the way they wanna do it," Wendy told Artisan News at last month's Dimebash event in Hollywood, California. Tentatively due before the end of the year, the Dio tribute album will see Grohl covering BLACK SABBATH's "The Mob Rules" and Halford contributing a version of RAINBOW's "Long Live Rock 'N' Roll".
