Hold onto your hats, pop-punk fans, because the long wait for new Blink-182 music is almost over: the group has set the release of a new single for this Friday (July 15). According to a post on the group's Facebook page, the new track, "Up All Night," will premiere on Los Angeles radio station KROQ-FM at 7:30 a.m. PST/10:30 a.m. EST on Friday. The track will also be available on the band's website. "Up All Night" marks the first new song in eight years from the So-Cal trio, which split up in 2005 before reuniting in 2009. Weezer will perform on the pool deck as the ship pulls out and then again in the indoor main theater.

VAN HALEN - HOT FOR TEACHER

Despite much secrecy, it does appear that a new Van Halen album is en route, and it may come sooner than later.  Producer/engineer Ross Hogarth told Ultimate-Guitar.com that he’s been in the studio with the band, and everything went well.  He revealed, “The whole Van Halen record has been recorded and we’re all excited.  We have just started mixing the record.  I’m really stoked about it, as it is the original band – Eddie and Alex – with Wolf playing bass and David Lee Roth singing.  It’s the killing side of Van Halen at the top of their game again with Diamond Dave, and the band on fire.”  No album title, tracks, or release date information has been revealed.

KISS are moving forward with their new record.  Guitarist Tommy Thayer tells LehighValleyLive.com, “It’s going phenomenally.  We’ve been in the studio for several weeks.  We’ve cut eight songs already.  I’ve heard Paul and Gene.  This is definitely some of the best stuff KISS has ever recorded.”  Thayer says while the idea with “Sonic Boom” was to create a classic KISS album, this next record adds for a little more variance.  He says, “I slowly wanted to put a little Tommy Thayer in there.  I think on this record, we’re taking it to the next step.  We’re spending a lot of time making sure it sounds like a great KISS record.”
