1994 – Nine Inch Nails singer Trent Reznor escaped unharmed when a power line broke loose and landed on the band’s tour bus at Woodstock ’94.

Drummer Jason Bonham is set to launch "Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience" tour this fall. The son of the late John Bonham tells Billboard that he is invited the three surviving members of the band to the tour, but can't guarantee than any of them will perform. Robert Plant has given his blessing to the multimedia show, which will mix video footage with covers of Zep classics. The tour is expected to cross North America in October.

AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, Kiss and Slash will battle it out for band of the year at the Classic Rock Roll of Honour 2010. They all have two nominations at this year's awards - and are up against Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and Jeff Beck in the best band category. Sixteen artists are nominated for album of the year including Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam, The Scorpions and Foreigner. The awards, hosted by Alice Cooper, take place in London on 10 November. My pick for Band Of The Year? It has to be AC/DC. They broke records with the "Black Ice" tour. had 4 top ten hit singles from their latest album, and they rocked out to more than a million people when many other bands their age are retired and chilling in a beach chair! Chicago hard rockers Disturbed have announced a new batch of tour dates set to take place in October alongside up and coming Canadian Rockers, Hail The Villain and Vancouver band, Art of Dying. The tour dates are completely seperate from their headlining runs on the European Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour and previously announced North American tour dates. Good to see our New canadian rockers getting some respect from a MAJOR US band! You can see Disturbed and Hail the villain in Vancouver September 26th during the Rockstar Uproar Tour!!

Les Paul (Born Lester Polfuss)
June 9, 1915 – August 13, 2009

Les Paul was one of popular music’s most important figures. Besides recording a string of hits with wife, Mary Ford during the ’40s and ’50s, Paul was a guitar legend who not only invented the Les Paul guitar which would be used by future guitar heroes to this day, he also developed multi-track recording, which changed popular music forever. It allowed singers and musicians to record their parts separately and then pieced together later for the final record. Les Paul died of pneumonia in a New York hospital at the age of 94. Late in his life he befriended Guitar Legend, Slash, who used a Les Paul as his main guitar for most of his career!
