2003 – Ozzy Osbourne held a farewell party for bassist Robert Trujillo, who was taking over bass duties for Metallica. The party got a little out of hand and the Police were called in to deal with the intoxicated rowdies!

Trent Reznor will not work on the Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter film after all. Though he was recently in negotiations, the singer says, "As it turns out, I won’t be working on (acting or scoring) ALVH after all. There’s no juicy story here. It’s just that when the news mysteriously leaked out about my involvement, I hadn’t made up my mind completely, because various aspects of the project were changing." Reznor says he wishes the people behind the production the best of luck and there are no hard feelings. Also on the visual front, Reznor revealed that he’s "still fully engaged" in work on his "Year Zero" miniseries, based around the Nine Inch Nails concept album of the same name.
The Foo Fighters just unveiled the official trailer for their upcoming rockumentary Back And Forth, which will debut at SXSW before being released theatrically on April 5th. If you live somewhere that’s not so cool as to have a theater that would play a Foo Fighters documentary, it will also be airing April 8th on VH1, VH1 Classic, and Palladia. Their new album Wasting Light hits shelves on April 12th, featuring the film’s title track.

THE CULT - SHE SELLS SANCTUARY
The Cult have returned to the studio to record their first album since 2007's Born into This. The group are joined in the studio by producer Chris Goss (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Mark Lanegan). The band, now featuring singer Ian Astbury, guitarist Billy Duffy, bassist Chris Wyse, rhythm guitarist Mike Dimkich and drummer John Tempesta, has been releasing mini-album "Capsules" since fall 2010. The band has released two of these multi-format projects already, the latest being Capsule 2: New Blood Deep Cuts, which included two new songs, classic live tracks and a tour of the band's rehearsal space.
