BLINK 182 - AFTER MIDNIGHT There will be Offspring music sooner than later, but right now singer Dexter Holland is turning his attention to another venture – his Gringo Bandito hot sauce. Beginning tomorrow, a limited edition private reserve of 250 bottles will be numbered and made available to fans. The first 100 orders will receive a second, plain-labeled bottle so that you can taste the sauce without having to open your signed and numbered collectors item. Also, if you go to the www.facebook.com/gringobanditohotsauce page and give it a “like,” you’ll be entered to win a free reserve package. Check in tomorrow morning at 9:00AM PT to get your order in before they’re all gone. ------------------------BREAK----------------------------- Gene Simmons is never at a loss for words, so in a recent interview when asked what he thought about Guns N’ Roses and what they could have been, the Kiss bassist-singer was very open. Simmons tells Music-News.com that GN’R had the opportunity to be even bigger than they ever were, if not for on individual: “Guns N’ Roses could have been the best band in the world and the reason they’re not is because of Axl Rose.” He continued, “I mean, the drugs, the heroin, the alcohol and all that. But ultimately, it falls on Axl’s shoulders.” So what could have changed that? Simmons suggested a good old fashioned pummeling, saying, “A good beating would have helped.” He followed up, saying, “I mean, when you misbehaved as a little kid and continued to do it, there was somebody there to give you a ‘what for’ [while making a swatting motion with his hand]. Then when you become a grown-up, who’s there to set you straight?” Get Ready! Looks like we have a Classic Rock Quarrell about to start here!!!
KISS - DOMINO
It’s been rumored for months, but the four founding members of Black Sabbath made their reunion official Friday with a press conference at the famous Whisky-A-Go-Go in Los Angeles. Not only will there be shows (beginning next June with the U.K. Download Festival), but there’s plans for the group’s first new studio album in 33 years. Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward have been quietly rehearsing together and meeting for several months, trying to determine whether to give recording a try. The band will give it a go, with Rick Rubin signing on to produce the effort. Iommi told the audience, “[Rick] phoned us every five minutes.” Recording is expected to begin in January with plans for a fall 2012 release. If the band releases a new album it will be there first since 1978′s ‘Never Say Die.’
