94XPOSED WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 14TH
Cliff Williams – The AC/DC bassist is 62.
AC/DC - TNT Last week, Metallica celebrated their 30th anniversary with a run of four special shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco. The gigs brought plenty of guest appearances and reunions with former members, and each night, the metal titans debuted an unreleased song dating back to the sessions for 2008's 'Death Magnetic.' Immediately following each concert, the band emailed that night's debuted track to fan club members, but now everyone -- or at least everyone with at least $1.29 to spare -- has a chance to hear the new-old material. That's because 'Tallica has made all four songs, collected as the 'Beyond Magnetic,' EP, available on iTunes. ----------------------BREAK----------------------- Shinedown will follow up their massive hit record ‘The Sound of Madness’ with what’s expected to be one of the biggest rock albums of the year, and depending on it’s direction — possibly one of the biggest albums released in any genre. It may not seem like it, but it’s been almost four years since the release of the platinum-selling album ‘The Sound of Madness’ — the fact that they’ve had a single in heavy rotation at rock radio consistently since a month prior to the album’s release has made it feel like they’ve never left. Their landmark record got an extension on it’s success with last year’s deluxe edition that included the radio hit ‘Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom)’ — a song originally recorded for ‘The Expendables’ soundtrack that ended up being one of the most played rock songs of 2011. Expect the new release in early 2012!
SHINEDOWN - DIAMOND EYES
Through the magic of computers, Bruce Dickinson is giving fans a chance to see what he sees during some of his most exhilarating moments. As anyone familiar with Iron Maiden's high-flying frontman might have guessed, his isn't a rock 'n' roll simulator -- though that would be pretty great -- but rather a flight simulator. A licensed commercial pilot who has flown his long-running British metal band all over the world, Dickinson has installed a state-of-the-art training module at London's Heathrow Airport, where he's been giving lessons to members of Maiden's fan club, Blabbermouth.net reports. "I can't wait to sit in the simulator with fans and share the buzz of what it is really like to fly a modern passenger jet such as Flight 666 and all the challenges that entails," Dickinson said in a press release last month, referencing the call sign of Ed Force One, the Boeing 757 he used for several tours. "You too could earn your 666 wings," the video proclaims, flashing a badass "Flight 666 Crew" embroidered patch as added incentive. Sign me up!
