2004 – A federal judge denied Axl Rose’s request for a restraining order to block the release of a Guns N’ Roses greatest hits collection. Rose sued because he said he had not approved the album. Universal Music Group said that they had every right to release the album since Rose had not delivered the contracted album “Chinese Democracy.” The album had been in the making for more than eight years.

DANKO JONES - FULL OF REGRET
Last May, Canadian hard rockers Danko Jones unveiled the first video (titled "Full of Regret") in their cinematic, Tarantino-tinged "Below the Belt" triology, which featured actors Elijah Wood and Selma Blair as well as Motorhead legend Lemmy. Another action-packed clip, for "Had Enough," rolled out in October, with an assist from "Karate Kid" Ralph Macchio among others. Now, Danko Jones exclusively premieres "I Think Bad Thoughts," the third and final short film from the "Below the Belt" series, on Billboard.com. Besides being filled with badassery on so many levels, the video brings together faces from the first two clips, including Elijah, Macchio and Stooges bassist Mike Watt, in addition to "Into the Wild" actress Jena Malone.

The rock world came together Monday night in New York to honor the music and talents of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Class of 2011. Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond, Dr. John, Darlene Love and Tom Waits were the five main performers being honored, along with Leon Russell in the “sideman” category. Alice was inducted by Rob Zombie, who said, "Alice Cooper invented the rock show. Before Alice Cooper, there was no rock show." The Alice Cooper Band played “I’m Eighteen” and “Under My Wheels,” before being joined by Zombie and a choir of kids from the Ronald McDonald House for “School's Out.”
