94XPOSED THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 15TH

“We will be back in the studio in about a week. Hoping record will be done in the next 2 to 3 mos. High probability. Shooting 4 early 2012. When record is done, we'll plan 2012 tour. World and elsewhere. Nothing definite yet, but we'll be touring till you're sick and tired of us.” – The Offspring.

OFFSPRING - GONE AWAY
KISS - STRUTTER

Kiss mainman Gene Simmons doesn't want talk of an original lineup reunion to circulate after he met up with former bandmate Ace Frehley recently. Simmons says: "Ace and I had a nice, friendly lunch together. It was wonderful to see him. He looked healthy and happy. "Nothing else was talked about. Ace and I are both happy with our lives and are not changing anything." Its kind of funny. The moment Gene was spotted with Ace, the internet blew up with rumours of a full reunion. Gene knew it was coming too. He tweeted his response while he walked out the front door of the restaraunt.

Nevermind 20, a new website celebrating the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's landmark album, has launched at Nevermind20.com. The site allows fans to upload photos of the band, memorabilia, art, ticket stubs, posters and more, as well as sharing their memories of the album. Nevermind 20 also features comments from artists such as Flea, Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell and others about the record. As previously reported, the anniversary release of Nevermind is slated for September 27, as a remastered CD/digital reissue, but also in a two-disc set with B-sides and demos. A Super Deluxe, Limited Edition will include an alternate mix of Nevermind done by producer Butch Vig, instead of the final mix by Andy Wallace. This version will also come with a 90-page book and a CD/DVD of Nirvana's 1991 Halloween gig in Seattle. A vinyl version of Nevermind will also be released, as will a Blu-ray and DVD of the Seattle Halloween show.

BLINK 182 - GOING AWAY TO COLLEGE

Artists contributing to charities is nothing new, but for Blink-182 singer/guitarist Tom DeLonge, he actually has first hand experience with one of the organization’s he’s supporting. DeLonge has launched Boomer For Boobies as a way to contribute to cancer research. He tells us, “I got diagnosed with skin cancer last year. It’s all good, I’m okay. But one of the companies that in where my studio is located is the KeepABreast.org. They create awareness for breast cancer primarily through rock music and so I teamed up with them because my cancer was on my chest.” As part of his Boomer For Boobies activities, DeLonge has been hosting meet-and-greets as part of VIP packages offered for Blink-182’s recent and upcoming tour dates. To learn more about the campaign and potentially get a chance for a trip to Hollywood to meet DeLonge, visit www.modlife.com/boomerlovesboobies/news.
