Bad news Nickelback haters: the rock band so many love to hate has been named the group of the decade by Billboard magazine. Billboard has released a list of the top music stars of the 2000s based on chart success, and Canada’s Nickelback was the top group or duo.

The list was compiled by tabulating the rankings on the Billboard top 200 albums and the Billboard Hot 100 songs lists from Dec. 4, 1999 to Nov. 28, 2009.

The list was topped by rapper Eminem, followed by Usher, Nelly, Beyonce and Alicia Keys. Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me” was also named the top rock song of the decade, and was No. 4 on the Top 10 songs of the 2000s list

NICKELBACK - How You Remind Me
IGGY POP ft/ SUM 41 - Little Know it All

The Stooges, Genesis and ABBA lead the list of accomplished artists that will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year. The class of 2010 also includes the Hollies and Jimmy Cliff. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, LL Cool J, Donna Summer,  join KISS on list of artists who were nominated this go round but didn't make the cut.

The 25th annual induction ceremony will be held March 15th. The event, which is returning to New York's Waldorf Astoria, will be broadcast live on Fuse.
