Seether are not afraid to shake things up. In fact, their history shows it. The group are leading off their new album support with the bluegrass-tinged track “Country Song,” definitely a departure from their traditional sound. Singer Shaun Morgan tells AlternativeAddiction.com, “On the last album, the first single ‘Fake It’ had sort of a swing beat to it and people thought that was a little different for Seether. It’s definitely different than anything we’ve done before. The label and management were both a little taken aback by the song as well, but that’s okay, we always like to do something a little bit different.” Morgan says that “Country Song” is just one part of a very diverse album, and that the band were keen on not repeating themselves. The “Holding On To Strings Better Left To Fray” album arrives May 17th.

More artists are doing their part to get involved in efforts to help the victims of Japan's recent earthquake and tsunami. Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda has designed T-shirts to benefit the group's Music for Relief charity, reports MTVNews.com. One design features the figure of a paper crane-like white butterfly above the Linkin Park logo, and the other one has "Not Alone" splattered on the front in red, white and blue. Donations of $10 can be made by texting "MFR" to 85944.

"Run to the Hills," Iron Maiden: Prior to "Run to the Hills," metal fans probably wouldn't have expected the U.S./Native American conflicts to be such a fertile foundation for a metal classic. But the violence, anger and sadness of that portion of history make for brilliant subject matter for this galloping Iron Maiden track. The lead single of 1982's The Number of the Beast, "Run" was the song that introduced the vocal acrobatics of new lead singer Bruce Dickinson. A new era in metal had begun.
