KID ROCK - SO HOT
GUNS AND ROSES - WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE
Slash had some very high praise for ex-Guns N' Roses bandmate Axl Rose, during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. While discussing his support dates with Ozzy (which kicked off Sunday night) and the Velvet Revolver singer situation, Slash was asked about his favorite lead singers. EW: Did you see that MusicRadar.com poll in which Axl was voted the greatest lead singer of all time? Slash: I did. I thought that was actually pretty f—ing cool. EW: You did? Slash: Yeah. All things considered, we may have had our differences and this and that and the other, but I will never undermine the fact that I thought Guns N' Roses, when it was originally together, was one of the best rock bands, and Axl has always in my mind been one of the best frontmen/lyricists in rock and roll, period.

Following the recent news about a cancer scare of his own, The Who's Roger Daltrey was front and center Thursday night leading his band through a headlining set at the Killing Cancer 2011 concert. Along with Jeff Beck, Debbie Harry, Richard Ashcroft and Bryan Adams, the artists came together to play the benefit concert, at the Hammersmith Apollo, to raise public awareness and funds for a revolutionary cancer treatment. The KILLING Cancer charity was set up six years ago to fund the development of a new style of non-invasive cancer treatments. Check out some of the performances on the Matt Porteous Blog at 94Xfm.com!

NINE INCH NAILS - HAND THAT FEEDS
Sunday night was a night to remember fro Nine Inch Nails frontman, Trent Reznor. Reznor and collaborator Atticus Ross, won best original score for "The Social Network," the Facebook-inspired film that led all Golden Globe winners with four awards, including best dramatic picture. "A year ago I had no idea I'd have the opportunity to score a film," Reznor said. "The idea of standing up here to accept this award is surreal."
