KID ROCK - BAWITABA The Alice in Chains & Friends Fantasy Football League launched its 3rd annual charity auction on eBay last Friday morning. The ten-day-long auction includes collectible items donated by league participants such as custom-made black denim pants, jacket, and studded belt worn by Jerry Cantrell during the Alice in Chains BLACKDIAMONDSKYE Tour; a glove personally worn and autographed by Randy Wolf; a Mad Men script signed by the cast of the show, autographed items from Vinnie Paul, Duff McKagan, Heart's Ann Wilson and more. 100% of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to league champion William DuVall’s charity of choice, Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Alice In Chains are working on a new album this year. ---------------------------BREAK------------------------- Iron Maiden have announced that they will release a new live album and DVD in March. The package, which is titled 'En Vivo', features a double DVD set and live album and will be released on March 26. The DVD was filmed in front of over 50,000 fans at the Estadio Nacional Stadium in Santiago, Chile in April last year and contains a 17-song set as well as a new 88-minute long tour documentary, which is titled 'Beyond The Beast'. The show was filmed digitally using 22 HD cameras and an octocam (a flying camera which captures aerial crowd scenes), recorded in both stereo and 5.1 audio and has been mixed by the band's longtime producer Kevin Shirley. Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson recently said that despite rumours that they were considering retirement, they plan to "make at least one more album" and have begun planning for the recording of the follow-up to 'The Final Frontier', which was the 15th studio LP of the veteran band's career. IRON MAIDEN - RUN TO THE HILLS Judas Priest have been making records for almost 40 years now, and to celebrate, they’ve put together a career spanning box set. For anyone that may have missed out on a release or two throughout the years, you can pick up their monstrous 17-CD box set, ‘The Complete Albums Collection,’ due Jan. 24. ‘The Complete Albums Collection’ contains not just every studio album delivered by the classic Priest lineup of Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, K.K. Downing and Ian Hill, but their live discs, as well. For the Priest fan that thinks they have everything, the collection (pictured below) also includes remasters of the band’s first two releases, ‘Rocka Rolla’ from 1974 and 1976’s ‘Sad Wings of Destiny,’ equipped with a replica mini-LP sleeve reproduction of the original cover art. But wait, they’re not done! There’s also a special 40-page booklet with Judas Priest photos, album credits and some liner notes courtesy of rock journalist and long time friend of the band Greg Prato. All in all, it’s a great way for any fan to celebrate the music and the notable career of Judas Priest. --------------------------BREAK---------------------- Kurt may stubbornly remain dead but his estate (read: The Widow Cobain) continues to benefit from his legacy through the licensing of Cobain-related products. The latest is the Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang. Kurt played a variety of guitars in his day including a Fender Jaguar (there's an official Kurt version of one of those, too) but he had a soft spot for the Mustang.
