Slash has admitted the rumours about Corey Taylor being involved with Velvet Revolver are true – but a final decision has yet to be made. The guitarist had been avoiding making any comment on the gossip, while the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman simply said: "To be continued." Now it seems that’s an accurate picture of the situation: due to Slash’s touring commitments the band ran out of time to decide whether to bring Taylor on board as replacement for Scott Weiland, who was saked in 2008. Slash tells the Charlotte Observer: "There was truth to the rumour that we were looking at Corey – but then I left for tour. So there’s nothing being done at the moment. No decision has been made." VR have been notoriously cautious about choosing a new frontman. I think Corey Taylor is the best fit possible for these guys! I know its not official, but I can't wait to hear what a song written by Slash And Corey Taylor sounds like!

Travis Barker is elaborating on Blink-182’s plans for their long-in-the-works new album. The drummer tweeted earlier this week that the disc would be out this summer, and he now tells MTV News, "I think we’ll turn in our album in June or July, honestly, and, I mean, the stuff’s awesome." Barker says that length of time it’s taking to finish things is more a reflection of the band members’ busy schedules than anything else. He explains, "It’s hard because we would get home from a tour, and then Tom’s [DeLonge] side project would go out, his side project comes back, he’s back now, he’s ready to get in the lab, and I’m about to say, ‘Peace out.’" But Barker says that technological advances over the last decade have made things much easier and now all three members have their own studios where they can work on material if one of the others is not around. The drummer concluded, "I wish I could play everyone the songs now. Like I said, they sound awesome."

If you were hoping to attend this year's Sasquatch! Music Festival... you're SOL, my friend. You probably should have got tickets when you had the chance... 'cause now you can't. Sasquatch! sold out in four days this year, which wasn't as fast as Coachella, but it's still pretty damn impressive. This year's Sasquatch! Music Festival will be headlined by Foo Fighters, Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse and Wilco. It takes place May 27 to 30 at George, Wash.'s Gorge Amphitheatre. We're now wondering how quickly this year's Bonnaroo Music And Arts Festival will sell out. The lineup was announced yesterday, and tickets for that fest go on sale Feb. 19. It goes down June 9 to 12 at Manchester, Tenn.'s Great Stage Park.
