94XPOSED FRIDAY JUNE 17TH
June 17th, 1980 – Led Zeppelin began their final tour.
LED ZEPPELIN - RAMBLE ON Forbes magazine is revealing the list of the top money-making musicians of the past year. The magazine’s calendar period runs from May 2010 to May 2011 and encompasses all pre-tax income minus agent and manager fees. As expected, with the top tour of the year, U2 leads all acts with $195 million over the period. The magazine listed the top 25 acts, with Bon Jovi ($125 million), Elton John ($100 million), Lady Gaga ($90 million), and Michael Buble ($70 million) rounding out the top five. Other rock acts in the survey include The Dave Matthews Band (#10, $51 million), Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers (#16, $38 million), and AC/DC (#18, $35 million) and Muse (tied at #18 with $35 million). ---------------------BREAK---------------------- Staind have settled on “Seven” as the title for their seventh studio album. The band are currently eyeing a late September release and will offer up the single “Not Again” in July. The band parted ways with longtime drummer Jon Wysocki last month and have been working on the road with Evanescence drummer Will Hunt. Singer Aaron Lewis said in recent interviews that his solo album, which leaned toward country, allowed him to come back to Staind with a more heavy rock mindset and he cautions that there are no songs like “Outside” or “It’s Been Awhile” on the collection.
STAIND - ITS BEEN AWHILE 1967 – Jimi Hendrix burned his guitar on stage at the Monterey Pop Festival. ------------------------BREAK------------------- Father's Day is coming up on Sunday so hopefully you have something awesome planned for him! I wracked my brain for an hour this morning trying to come up with a kick ass rock song about Dad's. All I could come up with is, "Dad Likes AC/DC" AC/DC - THUNDERSTRUCK |
