94XPOSED FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 17TH
1967, The Doors were banned from The Ed Sullivan Show after Jim Morrison broke his agreement with the show’s producers. Morrison said before the performance that he wouldn’t sing the words, "Girl, we couldn’t get much higher," from "Light My Fire" but did anyway. The Doors also performed their new single, "People are Strange."

VELVET REVOLVER - SLITHER
Slash has revealed Velvet Revolver will be holding auditions for a new frontman this October, via an Artisan News Service video. He also confirmed that the new singer will not be Myles Kennedy, who has been performing singing duties on Slash's solo tour (and is also a member of Alter Bridge). "Velvet Revolver will be a 24-hour-a-day project and Kennedy is still committed to Alter Bridge," Slash recently told BostonHerald.com. "I don't want to be the guy responsible for breaking up a band. But we'll find someone. Maybe not somebody known, but some kind of local hero."

1991, over 4 million copies of Guns N' Roses’ album, Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II, were simultaneously released for retail sale, making it the largest shipment in popular history. PINK FLOYD - RUN LIKE HELL
Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters has revealed the British group are edging closer to another one-off reunion for a major charity show, but there will never be a full tour. The rocker recently teamed up with ex-bandmate David Gilmour for a low-key charity gig in England and now admits he's considering another get together which will mirror the band's stunning Live 8 reunion in 2005. Since then, Floyd stars Syd Barrett and Rick Wright have died and Waters insists the time is right for another spectacular. He tells Rolling Stone magazine he's still fired up about the four-song Live 8 show five years ago, and is keen to repeat it.
