CREED - WHATS THIS LIFE FOR?
BUCKCHERRY - LIT UP

Buckcherry are one of the hardest touring rock bands, but they will take a break this spring. It’s not by choice though, as drummer Xavier Muriel is dealing with an injury. He explains, “I busted up my hand and after a minor surgery I’m recovering well, just not well enough to play by the time we were scheduled to play the shows in Iraq and Kuwait. I’ll be healed and ready to rock the shows we have at the end of this month. We will see you soon.” The band issued their own statement saying that they were sorry for having to miss their performances for the soldiers overseas, but will make sure to pass along all the letters and messages of support to the military servicemen and women with notes from the band as well.

Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready has spoken out to raise public awareness of Crohn’s Disease, an incurable disease affecting the gastrointestinal tract. McCready, who is among 1.4 million Americans suffering from the disease, recently donated his time to create a public service announcement to promote the Take Steps Walk program. The guitarist said in the announcement, “I have been living with Crohn’s Disease for over 24 years. Luckily, my disease is now under control. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for many of the 1 million-plus Americans suffering from IBD. I know firsthand the tremendous impact CCFA’s programs can have on improving Crohn’s and colitis patients’ lives. I encourage anyone inflicted or affected by these diseases to sign up for the Take Steps Walk program.”
