1991 – The first Lollapalooza began in Phoenix with Living Colour, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Jane’s Addiction, Nine Inch Nails, The Butthole Surfers, and The Rollins Band.
NINE INCH NAILS - ONLY Five Finger Death Punch will release their third album later this year and they’ve revealed it will be called American Capitalist. Lead single Under and Over It will be available on July 27. It’s their first album with new bassist Chris Kael following the sacking of Matt Snell in December. No word yet on if the band will take on another cover song for the new studio effort! ----------------------BREAK---------------------- The Foo Fighters have now made their full iTunes show available for streaming. The gig happened on Tuesday, July 12 at The Roundhouse in London, when the band were joined onstage by Lemmy for the Probot song Shake Your Blood. Brian May and Roger Taylor got up for the Queen classic Tie Your Mother Down, with Taylor Hawkins on vocals. FOO FIGHTERS - WALK On this day in 2001, Kiss added another product to their ever-growing merchandising universe: the Kiss Kasket. The coffin featured the faces of all four founding members of the band, the Kiss logo and the words "Kiss Forever." Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell was buried in one after he was shot and killed on stage in December 2004. ---------------------------BREAK------------------------- The Red Hot Chili Peppers released the first single from their new album, I'm with You, today. "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie" will be the first taste of the album, coming in late August. The song hit the airwaves on July 18. The Chili Peppers' also have launched a new Facebook page, where fans will receive updates from the Chili Peppers camp before the release of the album. I'm with You is the band's first album since Stadium Arcadium, and the first album with new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.
