Legendary hip-hop/rock group Cypress Hill have signed an exclusive worldwide deal with Priority/EMI and are gearing up for the April 6th release of RISE UP, their first new studio album in six years. RISE UP's lead single is its incendiary title track, which features Rage Against The Machine/Street Sweeper Social Club's Tom Morello, who co-wrote and co-produced the song. The famed guitarist also appears on a second track titled "Shut 'Em Down." Rumours also place slash somewhere on this album.

Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots tells Spin.com "we just finished the last two songs at my home studio, and we're going through the editing process and getting everything sounding tasty. A gentleman by the name of Chris Lord-Alge, who actually mixed a song of ours back in early 2000 called 'All in the Suit That You Wear', will mix the new album."

January 20,1982 – during a Ozzy Osbourne concert in Des Moines, Iowa, a member of the audience threw an unconscious bat onto the stage. Thinking it was one of his rubber fakes, Ozzy picked it up and bit off its head. The singer was taken to hospital to be given a rabies injection.
