Ozzy Osbourne will release Scream, his first album in three years and his 10th studio effort overall, on 15 June. Needless to say, he's hoping it's the 'scream' that will be heard around the world. Osbourne will promote the album with an ambitious 18-month world tour. Dates and venues will be announced soon. Of special interest to guitarists, the album marks the first appearance of Gus G, who last year replaced Osbourne's longtime guitar player and collaborator Zakk Wylde.

Iron Maiden and the 2012 London Olympic Games. A strange combination? Not to over 92,000 Facebook fans, who have joined a rapidly growing campaign for the iconic British heavy metal group to open the UK games. Which means athletes won't just be running laps, they're be running to the hills! On the Facebook page, called 1 MILLION STRONG 4 IRON MAIDEN to open the 2012 London Olympic Games!!, a message reads: "Iron Maiden are one of the most successful bands to come out of England that are still active and are arguably the biggest metal band of all time. They deserve to play and represent their hometown of London, England in 2012!"

Deftones frontman Chino Moreno says he's a big fan of Milli Vanilli – and he'd love the people who really worked on the infamous album to release another record. Asked by Ohio's WEBN FM whether he'd prefer to tour with Vanilli or New Kids on the Block, he says: "I love Milli Vanilli. A lot of people think I'm joking but I love that record. "I always think, wow, wouldn't it be neat if they made another record? Because the guys who really recorded it are still around." He admitted that he would rather tour with New Kids though, Because they have a ton of Cougars following them around on the road and he wants to get in on that party! Deftones are planning to tour for up to two years on the back of the new release, due on May 4. It's their first album since the tragic car accident suffered by bassist Chi Cheng, who's been in hospital since November 2008 and is still semi-comatose.

Released On CD and MP3 format today, is the Iron Man 2 Soundtrack which is basically a greatest hits Package from Aussie Rockers AC/DC. The Australian hard-rock band stars in the soundtrack to the hotly anticipated super-hero flick Iron Man 2, about a dashing millionaire industrialist who combats evil in a high-tech suit of armour. The disc is made up entirely of previously recorded tracks spanning the length of AC/DC's career, right back to their first album in 1975.
