Foo Fighters earned a Gold album plaque in May for selling more than 500,000 copies of their first album release in four years, Wasting Light, in less than one month. All seven of the Foo Fighters’ studio albums are now RIAA certified Gold or higher. The Foo Fighter’s Documentary, “Back And Forth” is also in stores now and showed up on the Billboard DVD sales chart this week in the Top 10!

Against Me! will re-release their fifth full-length album, White Crosses, on July 26. Originally released by Sire Records on June 7, 2010 and presented now in two parts, White Crosses and Black Crosses, the reissue will be the first release on the band's newly launched record label, Total Treble Music. The reissue is a 28-track collection that includes the original 10-song album with four bonus tracks, all produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder. The second half, Black Crosses, is a collection of alternate versions, acoustic tracks and unreleased songs. White Crosses and Black Crosses will be released in two-CD and three-disc vinyl versions with a 32-page lyric and art booklet.

Slipknot made an emotional return to live performance this evening – and the empty costume and bass of Paul Gray was with them on stage.
He died of an accidental overdose in May last year, plunging the metal outfit into a temporary hiatus and long-term personal anguish, which several of the eight surviving members have said is still difficult to deal with. But the band took another step in their own recovery at the Greece edition of the travelling Sonisphere festival, when they hit the stage sporting red jumpsuits and their older-era masks. The 25,000 capacity audience supported the band all the way through their 14-song set, with former member Donnie Steel playing Gray’s bass parts from offstage.
