SUM 41 - SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER
FOO FIGHTERS - ROPE

Next month, the Foo Fighters will be playing songs from "Wasting Light," the new album they recorded in Dave Grohl's garage, in the garages of eight lucky fans in eight North American cities as part of a sponsorship with BlackBerry. The Foo Fighters have teamed with BlackBerry to give eight lucky fans the opportunity to host a Foo Fighters live performance in his or her actual garage. Fans who want a shot at turning their garage into a concert venue can either enter the contest directly by explaining in 25 words or less why they (and 50 of their friends) deserve to win and then sending in a picture of their garage. Detailed instructions are at www.foofightersgaragetour.com/contest.

Former Guns N' Roses manager Alan Niven has told Steven Adler to stop feeling sorry for himself, and playing the victim, insisting the band had no other option than to fire the then-drug addicted drummer. Adler was booted out of the band in 1990 because of an alleged heroin addiction but ever since Adler has campaigned for a reunion and claimed his band mates turned their backs on him. But Niven reveals that in addition to his substance abuse problems he was also having problems playing the band's new tracks leaving them with no option but to show him the door. Niven explained: "I agreed with the final exasperated decision (to fire Adler), with reluctance, because once you change the structure of the molecule that is the band it can become volatile and unstable." In unrelated news the new GNR has just been confirmed for Rock In Rio in September!

GUNS AND ROSES - NIGHT TRAIN
NAZARETH - HAIR OF THE DOG

Legendary Scottish hard rockers Nazareth are set to return with a brand new studio album 'Big Dogz', which will be hitting stores and online May 10, 2011 via Eagle Rock Entertainment through EarMusic. Produced by guitarist Jimmy Murrison and Yann Rouiller, the album reportedly was recorded with nearly no overdubs or multiple takes or solos adjusted by a computer in order to capture the original sound and spirit of the 70's. Founding member Pete Agnew says of the album, "They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but having recorded the new Nazareth album Big Dogz, I don't agree. We've got some tasty bones here! Our friends at earMusic offered us the opportunity to mark some new territory and the 'Nazhounds' are delighted to be back among their pack. We're straining at the leash to tour this puppy. We reckon it's bitchin'! So get ready, because in 2011 the Big Dogz gonna howl!!"

AC/DC singer Brian Johnson loves speed and will be hitting the race track this year to prove it. Johnson updates fans on his plans with an article he wrote for The National, the leading English-language voice in the Middle East. Here's a sample: "After more than two years on the road with AC/DC, I'm hitting the road again. Well, more like the track than road. We had over five million people come to see the band but I'd be pleased if 500 come to watch me do what I like best: racing. It's going to be quite a year. My season will start in Florida, where I live."
