Lynyrd Skynyrd – What’s Your Name
The Florida teacher who inspired Lynyrd Skynyrd's misspelled name has passed away. Leonard Skinner died on Monday at a nursing home in Riverside, Florida. He was 77. The band paid a sarcastic tribute to their former gym teacher, who taught founders Ronnie Van Zant and Gary Rossington during their school days. Apparently he had a habit of sending boys to the principal for growing their hair too long. Ironically, many of the bandmates later became friends with Skinner.

A representative of the band confirmed that Followill proposed over the weekend. He’s 28 years old and she’s 24. A date for the nuptials has yet to be set. In the meantime Caleb and the rest of the guys from Kings of Leon will be busy promoting their new album “Come Around Sundown.” It hits store shelves on October 19th. Here’s the first single…

MOTLEY CRUE – GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS
“Tattoos & Tequila” is the title of Vince Neil’s latest album, it’s also the name of his latest autobiography. The former Crue front man says that “The Dirt” did a decent job of covering Motley Crue’s heyday, but this book will be more about his personal life, including the last decade. He also said one of his favorite things about the book was letting his mom pick out the photos that were included, which by the sounds of things includes some pretty funny fashion choices. Vince Neil’s “Tattoos & Tequila” book is out later this week.

3 Doors Down are reportedly planning a reissue of their 2000 debut disc, “The Better Life.” It’s apparently set for a November 2nd release, with several unreleased b-sides and rarities that came from around the same time they recorded the album. Right now, the band is working on a new disc for 2011, in the mean time you have to settle for the reissue of the CD that gave us “Duck And Run,” “Loser,” and this song… Kryponite.
