94XPOSED WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 21

Aside from thinking about a one-off Queen show for next summer's Olympics, Queen drummer Roger Taylor is auditioning young musicians and singers for an official Queen tribute band, Queen Extravaganza. Taylor told Rolling Stone magazine: "I'm quite convinced that there are tens of thousands of kids, of really talented people, in their bedrooms around the world playing drums, guitar, and singing. And I want to find some of those people." According to the Guardian, the show will tour internationally with the band performing Queen hits along with archive footage and celebrity appearances.

Some big news for Rush fans, there are two new releases on the horizon.
Rush have announced details for the first offerings through their recently announced partnership with Roadrunner Records. On November 8, Anthem/Roadrunner will release a two disc live album entitled "Time Machine 2011: Live In Cleveland" as well as "Moving Pictures: Live 2011" on vinyl and digital formats. Captured in April at Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena during the renowned trio's extensive Time Machine World Tour, "Time Machine 2011: Live In Cleveland" marks the band's first live album recorded at a U.S show, a nod of gratitude to the first city to support Rush on its radio airwaves.

There isn't a lot of talk about the band The Tea Party these days, but anyone hoping for information on the U.S. political party should not go to teaparty.com. This website is owned by the Canadian rock band, The Tea Party. They registered the domain name in 1993 and while it is rarely updated now, it has been changed to say, "No politics . . . Just Rock and Roll" in big letters. Despite it not being updated regularly it still appears near the top of the first page of results on a Yahoo! search and a number of people get to it by plugging the name right into the browser. Tea Party Bassists says that "So much damage has been done to our name by the political movement that we're considering selling the website domain." If they do decide on this course of action, they could be in for a major pay day. Warren Adelman, president of GoDaddy.com tells Bloomberg campaigns may raise $1 billion dollars online. "It's easy to expect teaparty.com to go for well over $1 million." Not bad for a name chosen on a whim that had nothing to do with dressing up as natives and throwing tea into the ocean, or smaller government.

You have probably heard of celebrities insuring certain body parts like their legs, well David Lee Roth has done something even crazier and insured his sperm. You must be thinking, what’s the point?” Well, unlike other stories of bizarre celebrity body part insurance*, Roth’s insurance policy isn’t designed to protect him from sickness or injury. With this policy, Roth will receive $1,000,000 in the event of an unwanted pregnancy. This way, if he makes a baby by accident, he has a million dollars that he can rely on to cover child support. This may had been a good idea back when Van Halen was in there hay day and he was actually good lookin, but have you seen him now. To each their own I guess, and here's hoping that is insurance he never has to use
