They announced on their website that they have decided to walk away from the music industry while they are "on a high note." But fans of the band will get their chance to say goodbye - the rockers are embarking on a two-year farewell tour before hanging up their leather jackets. -------BREAK--------- The Aerosmith saga continues. The latest news has Aerosmith auditioning new singers next month, with guitarist Joe Perry saying the band is "already getting the word out there." He added that they will "start having some auditions, making some phone calls. Hopefully, we'll have found a new singer by the summer, and AEROSMITH will be able to go back out on the road." The group aims to replace original frontman Steven Tyler, who announced last fall that he was taking two years off to pursue a solo project before later checking himself into rehab for an addiction to painkillers. AEROSMITH - Rag Doll Fernando Lebeis, the son of GNR frontman Axl Rose's personal assistant has denied reports that security at GN'R's Winnipeg concert banned fans from wearing Slash gear inside the show. According to TMZ.com, concert security informed fans at the January 13 show that they were required to turn their Slash t-shirts inside out .... and leave their top hats outside. TMZ.com spoke with a member of the concert security team who "confirmed the marching orders — and told [the web site] the instructions were passed down from a producer for the band." However, Fernando Lebeis has denied that any such ban ever took place. Writing on a GN'R message board, he said, "We did not advise any security to ban any sort of apparel.... If they did, they did it on their own accord, or under someone else's order — from within their management." -------BREAK--------- MTV has posted videos of all 19 performances from friday's Hope for Haiti Now telethon on their Website.
