BEATLES - HELTER SKELTER
TOM PETTY - THE LAST DJ

There’s no other way to put: Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers have returned with a bang! Or should I say, they’ve found their Mojo. This Spring, the legendary outfit will release its first studio album in eight years. Yes, it’s titled Mojo and yes, it’s billed as a "fiery statement from a band that is making some of their most exciting music over three decades into their career." But wait, you haven’t read anything yet! In support of the release, Petty and co. have announced plans for a massive North American summer tour. Set to begin on May 6th in Raleigh, NC, the trek spans four months, includes dates in both the U.S. and Canada, and will see the band team up with — ready!?!? — the legendary Joe Cocker, Drive-By Truckers, ZZ Top, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and My Morning Jacket. What’s more, the band will also appearance as a headliner as this year’s Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI on June 25th.

Alexisonfire's Vancouver Winter Olympics gig was cancelled just seconds in due to rampaging fans last week, and now it seems Alexisonfire can't get away from shitty situations. The band are touring Australia as part of the Soundwave Festival, but encountered an obstacle of sorts prior to a show at Melbourne's Billboard. A retweet on the band's Twitter on Tuesday (Feb. 23) stated the venue was "pumping sewage from the dancefloor, they had 3ft of shitty water last night apparently." "Getting ready to head to the venue. Hopefully the sewage has been cleaned up!" the band tweeted half an hour later. A soundcheck was finished, so it appears whatever the problem was has been solved. Hopefully it didn't smell... There will be absolutely nothing crappy about the show March 8th! Grab your tickets at Ticketmaster or play The Billy Talent Track of the day contest here on the X!

ALEXISONFIRE - YOUNG CARDINALS

Beginning Friday, February 26th in Seattle and Toronto, the Emmett Malloy-directed documentary film, The White Stripes Under Great White Northern Lights, which captured that incredible journey will be making its way across North America for a series of special screenings – allowing fans a peek into the touring lives of one of the world's most creative bands before its official DVD release on March 16th. Additionally on March 16th, audiences across the country will have the opportunity to host their own screenings of The White Stripes Under the Great White Northern Lights. Fans have the chance to "Be a Part of the Tour" by purchasing a special screening kit and turning a favorite room, a local hangout, or any other location of their choice into their own premiere event. We aren't quite sure what prompted Mike Patton to whip his johnson out in front of a camera during Faith No More's set at the Soundwave Festival in Brisbane, Australia on Saturday (Feb. 20), but since it's Patton we're talking about he probably didn't need prompting. History has shown nobody's really prompted Patton to swallow a shoelace on stage last summer, or to eat garbage on stage in 1992, or to poo on a park bench outside Princess Diana's former home in London, England, or to pee into his boot and drink the contents back in the day, either. At any rate, what makes this peen flash even more bizarre is that Patton was swallowing a microphone at the time and there was even a camera right in front of his (Hoo Hoo) while he was stretching it out. You can see Patton, his wang and perhaps even some poop at these Faith No More shows:

Feb. 25 Melbourne, Australia @ Festival Hall
Feb. 26 Melbourne, Australia @ Melbourne Showgrounds (Soundwave Festival)
Feb. 27 Adelaide, Austarlia @ Bonython Park (Soundwave Festival)
March 1 Perth, Australia @ Steel Blue Oval (Soundwave Festival)
April 13-14 San Francisco, CA @ The Warfield
April 17 Indio, CA @ Empire Polo Club (Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival)
