94XPOSED FRIDAY JANUARY 28TH

2005 – Nickelback split with drummer Ryan Vikedal. The split seemed to be amicable with no ill words spoken. Kroeger and his bandmates soon announced that Daniel Adair would join the group. The Vancouver born drummer played in 3 Doors Down before joining the Hanna Alberta Rockers! Adair's drum style lends itself well to the bands sound as we found out when Burn It To The Ground hit the airwaves!

METALLICA - FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich said that the idea behind the recently announced Big 4 Festival came from a Rage Against the Machine reunion concert he saw a couple years ago at Coachella (the same California site of the metal legends' April 23 event). "It was a fantastic vibe out there," he told RollingStone.com. "Coachella seemed like the right place to do it. If this thing works, hopefully we can do an additional show somewhere else." Slayer guitarist Kerry King would be up for that, and more: "I'm chomping at the bit to do a full-blown tour at stadiums across the country." So far, The Big 4 (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax) have three dates scheduled together in 2011 – the California festival, plus appearances at Knebworth in Britain and Sonisphere in France. The shows follow seven festival appearances that the bands made in 2010.

Yes, Judas Priest are planning a farewell tour, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the band are through. While the group are bidding adieu to the concert stage with their 2011 world tour, there’s actually a new album in the works. A posting on their website states, "The guys are working together on writing new material. All is going really well." Guitarist Glenn Tipton added in a separate posting, "To put everyone’s mind at rest, this is by no means the end of the band. In fact, we are presently writing new material, but we do intend this to be the last major world tour."

JUDAS PRIEST - TURBO LOVER
ALICE COOPER - POISON

Alice Cooper was baffled when he was told fellow singer Robert Plant confessed that he may be too old to perform Led Zeppelin songs. "I go out on stage and say 'turn it up,'" Cooper said. "I never get tired of playing my songs." Cooper continued, "They are just standing there. What is so hard? Jimmy Page wants to do it. John Paul Jones wants to do it. And they got [late Zeppelin drummer John] Bonham's son [Jason], who is a killer drummer. All they need is Robert Plant. But what is Robert Plant out there doing? Playing folk music! What is he doing?"

When Vinnie Paul Abbott was asked about a rumored Pantera reunion without his brother Dimebag, he responded, "It's ridiculous. Dime was such a huge part of it; it would be just completely asinine to even consider that. I think it's pretty disrespectful from people to even suggest it. He left an amazing legacy and it's gonna be left untouched, it's beautiful, it's pristine and I wanna leave it that way. " I have to agree. Dimebag was the heart of Pantera. Without him its nothing more than a cash grab.
