2001 – Courtney Love filed a claim against Geffen Records and two musicians – Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic –  from her late husband’s band, Nirvana.  The suit was aimed at invalidating a 1997 agreement over the group’s body of work.  Love claimed that she signed the deal while she was distressed. Let me decipher that for you.....Destressed=on alot of drugs. The world is not fair. Kurt's Dead, Courtenay is still alive and embarassing herself daily.

Previously, Aerosmith had been saying that their new record would be released next May (presumably to tie-in with the finale of American Idol, where frontman Steven Tyler is a judge). But, according to Tyler, the album might be available a little bit earlier. "Two months doing that and we're almost there," Tyler told Rolling Stone backstage at the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas. "We're gonna spend another month in L.A." When asked about a release date for the album (the band's first of original material since 2001), he said, "March, hopefully."

The Best Tweet of the day from twitter comes from Offspring guitarist, Noodles. He hit up his twitter page last night to announce his disgust at a certain reality TV show. His tweet read: “I'd rather eat dog food w/ground up glass in it than watch Nancy Grace have a wardrobe malfunction.  #wwyrd.” – The Offspring’s Noodles.

Mick Jagger is about to take his first starring film role in more than a decade. The Rolling Stones frontman is set to play a media mogul in the movie Tabloid, which he is developing with his production company, Jagged Films, according to Rolling Stone. The film is being written by Josh Olsen (A History of Violence), based on a story by Jagger. Sir Mick will play a Rupert Murdoch-like figure who brings a young journalist into the inner circle of his empire. Jagger's last significant role was in 2001's The Man from Elysian Fields, with Andy Garcia. He's acted in a few films during his career, including Freejack, Performance and Ned Kelly.
